A thin veil, obtained by the mixture of paper and glue , meets an original Crashed Bottle.
In my artworks, I try to use different materials, which, once applied to the canvas, can recall the idea of emptiness interpretated as essentiality. A reference to the Oriental aestethics. Usually, I take some waterbottle shards, randomly broken, then pick the bigger ones and apply them to the medium. These shards want to represent the exteriority, the banality , something that everyone could notice at first glance. My purpose is to motivate the user to focus on the shards I deliberately dismissed, those invisible fragments that, exactly for that reason, turn out to be fundamental . Factually, the empty space left by them represents the essential, what stays hidden from the eyes, yet constitutes its deep nature. I also work around the modification of the medium itself, aiming at stimulating in different ways the transition from the perceptible to the essential.
