On the mountainous area of El Carmel lies Parc Guell (Gaudi Park). One of the many spectacular things to see in this park are the seats which are done in a mosaic style using tiles.
In this painting I have combined mosaic with painting to create two paintings in one. I did this by painting the bottom half of the painting on one canvas, cutting out all the pieces and mounting them on another canvas to which I added the sky and palms. I did this in order to give a slightly textured effect to the seating.
