It is not the portrait actually, but the personal artwork of mine. It is about simple things that make our lives more fulfilled. Do you remember, we used to have a lot of such small treasures when we were kids? Stones, shells, maybe colored buttons or plastic ringsā¦ We were surrounded with treasures. We felt like the richest and the happiest kids in the whole world! What are we looking for now then? Don't we already have all our treasures inside?
I made this portrait with soft pastel on a quality paper. The soft pastel is a really wonderful medium that can be even more durable than oil paintings if saved in a proper way (under the glass). I always send my artworks framed, with passe-partout and under the glass, so you don't need to bother about it.
