  • Description:

These triptych paintings are of the Bath Crescents -- the Landsdown Crescent, the Royal Crescent and Somerset Place with Edwardian denizens in the foreground. These paintings once adorned the walls of the historic bygone Circle Bar of The Watergate Hotel. Each individual painting measures approximately 14 feet by 4 feet 2 inches.

The paintings are currently stored in a climate controlled location in Washington DC and I can have them moved or delivered to any you or another buyer within reason or reasonable cost.

Some history on the triptych: The paintings were commissioned in 1988 by Tom Lee Limited of New York City by the award-winning work of American muralist Karen Titus Smith. Karen is a native of Narberth, PA, has been a Pemberton, NJ resident since 1978. She has a 30 year career creating, designing and painting paintings (often mural sized) for a major New York design firm. This collaboration placed her work in exclusive four and five star hotels and corporate spaces throughout the United States. Karen's paintings have filled spaces as prestigious as The Presidential Suite of the historic Willard Intercontinental Hotel, the Circle Bar at the Watergate Hotel, and the Lounge at the historic Westin Fairfax Embassy Row Hotel in Washington D.C. One of her most recent projects involved doing work for a private home in US Virgin Islands. She has been exhibiting work since the late 1980's. By credit of her extensive work in 1992, she won a fellowship from the state of New Jersey and has received many other awards throughout her exhibition career. She has exhibited in solo and group exhibitions in New York, New Jersey and Pennsylvania.

I appreciate consideration to find a proper home for these beautiful paintings.
