The Slim Shady portrait is a combination of ink, acrylic and collage on board. Together these mediums work to form a stereo-typical, and/or idolized idea of societies' view on street art. That is to say that - the piece is messy, it is covered in graffiti and it looks like its been plastered to the side of the subway for about a decade. However, although many would consider this piece nothing other than a page of scrap - or rather illegible garbage scribbled on the side of business - it is in-fact a work of fine art. If it were to stand alone mounted on the side of a train, or building or billboard etc. it could very well successfully fulfill the role of a street piece, or tag, or bomb, or whatever you'd like to call it. Regardless, that same piece could also hang on a perfectly white wall; almost as if it was made to be showcased in a museum. The painting itself was created to represent society and how we as humans value things based on appearance. Finally, the portrait of Eminem was also created to help people to relate, to really get the viewers' complete attention, to make them think, to make them understand; and finally to fill in the gaps in society in which we believe we are suitable for.
